OPERATOR GUIDE / OWNER ACCESS
Keep the desk
running.
Community administration and article publishing are separate workflows.
Member accounts
Members sign in through the community. This does not grant permission to manage the site.
Open the community ↗PocketBase dashboard
The production dashboard is protected from public access. Use the owner’s SSH tunnel, then open the private dashboard with the first-admin account.
See the private ADMIN_GUIDE.md supplied with the site for the production tunnel and backup instructions.
Browser article publishing
The public sites are static builds. Editing a community record does not publish an article. A dedicated editorial dashboard is planned.
Today, the owner edits reviewed source files, builds both sites and promotes a tested release. The original sites are retained for rollback.
Publishing checklist
- Write a new story, preserving previous articles and the owner’s edits.
- Record the event date and publication date separately. Link primary evidence.
- Use an owned, licensed or appropriately credited editorial image.
- Check the preview, links, model identity and license before promotion.
- Keep a release backup and verify the public page after deployment.
What can the backend manage?
Accounts, profiles, channels, messages, reactions and private moderation reports. Model profiles, tool entries and articles currently live in the versioned site source.
