ElevenLabs announced SFX v3 for developers on November 2, following its October 29 creative-tool announcement. The hosted model generates sound effects from text and can be selected in the Sound Effects API as eleven_text_to_sound_v3.

What changes for creators

ElevenLabs says v3 follows prompts describing several sequential sounds more closely and handles music and vocals better than v2. These are the provider's claims; we have not run an audio comparison.

The developer guide says looping currently remains a v2 feature. For games, film or interactive tools that need seamless loops, that detail can affect a migration. This is a hosted API, not a locally downloadable model release; review current provider terms and pricing before use.
